What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler Lead position at Builders FirstSource?
Under general direction, makes necessary adjustments to the production tables or machinery to conform to design shapes or pattern; performs any and all jobs on an assembly or sub-assembly line to produce building material components or millwork products; responsible for quality control of finished products.* Interprets design documents in order to make necessary changes to the production tables or machinery to conform to set-up sheets, work orders, drawings or blueprints; ensures conformance with component or millwork specifications.* Plans and assigns work tasks among assembly team in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related production goals.* Performs job tracking and reporting, overseeing the efficiency and output of assembler team. May provide input for performance appraisals.* Trains new assembler employees in the tasks required for component or millwork assembly work, including actual assembly techniques, use of tools and machinery, and safety guidelines and procedures.Requirements: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and four (4) years of component or millwork assembly experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble either building materials components or millwork products.
