Accounts Receivable Specialist
Compensation : $22-$28 / hour bonus eligible
The Job :
The Accounts Receivable Specialist works closely with internal and external customers to ensure customers are billed timely and accurately according to the terms of their agreement.
This individual also works on collections of past due payments, negotiation of payment plans and terms. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage prompt payment and minimize risk of overdue accounts.
The individual will respond to customer chargebacks and ensure timely resolution to minimize financial impact and maintain accurate account records.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will take initiative in analyzing and reviewing data on the past due userbase to identify trends, such as optimal collection periods and customer profiles with the highest collections success rates.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will then utilize these insights to drive a more data-driven and effective collections process
What you will do :
- Codes expenses, verifies and pays invoices, receives and posts receipts, reconciles balances and maintains records.
- Sets up and maintains vendors or payors in the accounting systems.
- Ensures transactions are timely and accurate.
- Reconciles bank accounts on a regular basis and monitors cash flow.
- Responds to inquiries from vendors or payors and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies.
- Payment plan negotiation.
- Reporting analysis.
- Chargeback Management and Resolution
- Customer Discrepancy Resolution.
- Work with manager to identify trends and recurring incidents.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 2 years of Accounts Receivable experience required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to apply.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- Exceptional verbal and written customer service skills.
