Program Director Job Description
Job Summary:
Building Bridges of Northeast Oklahoma (Bridges) is committed to and passionate about giving families the tools and resources necessary to bridge out of generational poverty. A passion and drive for helping families bridge from poverty to philanthropy is a key characteristic for qualified candidates seeking the Executive Director’s position at Bridges. The Executive Director will oversee the daily operations of Bridges, will serve to amplify the voice of Bridges to share the value and impact the organization has in Bartlesville, and work with staff to accomplish the goals and vision set forth in collaboration with the organization’s board of directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Hire, supervise, and develop effective employees through regular training, coaching, evaluating, motivating, and goal-setting.
· Serve as an advocate in the community to demonstrate the value and impact of Bridges on Bartlesville families and those in surrounding communities.
· Build and maintain professional relationships with donors, volunteers, and community leaders in order to serve Bridges and meet the vision and goals set forth by the Bridges Board of Directors.
· Build and maintain professional relationships with partner agencies to facilitate the creation of meaningful and impactful partnerships that serve Bridges and Bridges families
· Prepare and oversee the annual budget, monthly and annual financial statements and required financial audits to report to the Bridges Board of Directors
· Establish and lead staff in carrying out effective fundraising strategies to bring long term sustainability to Bridges, its families and the communities it serves.
· Oversee the collection and maintenance of data in order to communicate the impact that Bridges has on the lives of Bridges families and its communities.
· Attend Bridges Board meetings and provide the necessary data in a monthly director’s report in order to assist the board in decision making.
· Work with the Bridges Board Governance Committee to build a structure for continued program viability and growth of Bridges.
· Monitor and review, revise, and recommend curriculum options to meet specified outcomes agreed on by the Bridges Board of Directors.
· Oversee the maintenance and Bridges’s digital image including the organization’s website.
· Ensure all staff maintains required training, certifications, and background checks to ensure safety for all families, volunteers, and staff of Bridges
· Lead staff and Bridges Board of Directors in annual, short-term, and long-term strategic and financial planning.
· Perform other duties and functions as prescribed by the Bridges Board of Directors

· The ability to build and support/maintain a culture of support and continual growth that is healthy and challenging for families from diverse backgrounds.
· The ability to maintain the utmost level of confidentiality to maintain a culture that is safe and built on trust.
· The ability to identify and remove barriers holding back Bridges and Bridges families.
· The ability to connect Bridges families to other agencies and resources in Bartlesville and surrounding areas to meet need that cannot be met by the services provided by Bridges.
· Exceptional communication skills in order to communicate the outcomes of the Bridges programs with a variety of stakeholders.
Education and Preferred Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in human services, social work, psychology, or other related fields.
· 5 years of program and staff leadership organizations is preferred but candidates with the equivalent level of business experience will be considered
· Experience working with low-income families and community services
· Experience building and growing organizations
