General Description:
The Electrical Instructor job is both a hands-on and classroom-based teaching position that serves adults who desire to learn more about and obtain the basic skills necessary to work toward passing the State of Kentucky Journeyman’s Licensure Test. The Enzweiler Building Institute’s Electrical Program is a 4-year program geared to teaching students the codes and knowledge needed to pass the Journeyman’s Licensure Test. We are currently seeking instructors who can teach year 1, year 2, and year 3 of the program. The Electrical Instructor must be able to successfully connect with these participants and be able to teach them both the book/code knowledge and the hands-on skills for a job as an electrician. The requirements involve an individual with an electrical journeyman’s license.
Daily Work Expectations:
The Electrical Instructor position is a part–time position, working with approximately 20-30 participants at a time for 3 hours a night, 2 nights a week, over a 26-week course (September to April). The schedule is either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday evening between the hours of 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Instructors are also allotted ½ hour each day for program planning either at the beginning or end of the training day.
