Night Loader
Job Summary:
The night loader position with BPI requires someone with the ability to work consistently on the tasks of our night crew to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse and deliveries for the following day. The night loader tasks include but are not limited to picking product for next day deliveries to our customers, operating a forklift on a consistent basis, loading our trailers for next day deliveries, and maintaining a clean work environment. Working hours are 5:30 pm – 2:30 am.
Your ability to perform in the role directly leads to a monthly team bonus of up to 7.2%!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Replenishing of products at the end of shift to help speed up pick times throughout the day.
- Will use scanners to stage material per order.
- Will also learn different functions on the scanner to be able to load the trucks, for returns, and to check inventory along with helping to cycle count product to keep a real time inventory for our customers.
- Will need to secure product with banding or plastic wrap for transportation on our semi’s for delivery in a clean and neat as possible display for our customers
- Load truck with quality and care to ensure customer’s satisfaction.
- May have to learn how to drive tractor trailer around the premises.
- Responsible for filling out daily forklift inspection sheets.
- Being active in all aspects of the warehouse along with cross training in other areas of the department
- Cleaning and straightening when needed
Skills & Requirements:
- Pass BPI’s forklift certification course
- Learn the function of our scanners
- Maintaining safety at all times by using the forklift horn and seatbelts along with proper PPE including but not limited to high visibility apparel, steel/composite toe shoes, and safety glasses.
Physical Demands:
- Need to be able to work at a steady pace and able to lift 75 lbs during the process.
- Withstand the weather elements during all times of the year.
Salary : $18 - $21
