Description

M-F. 8am - 4:30pm Must be available for Call Back for Building Emergencies.
The Building Engineer is accountable for ensuring the proper operation of all building management systems as well as the completion and follow through of the maintenance staff. Must be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and able to multi-task. Must be able to understand basic functions of a smart phone, computer literate with a minimum of 5 years field experience. Strong technical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also required.
A Successful Building Engineer is a Seasoned maintenance leader with their own tools. The Building Engineer must have Reliable transportation and be available for On-call rotation.
Building Engineer Certifications:
EPA certified a plus, OSHA certified, plumbing, heating, electrical, and carpentry exp. HVAC, Multifamily, condo exp. Supervises a small staff of concierge and janitor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- An Engineer Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, chillers, and boilers to ensure operation of equipment is within design capability and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
- An Engineer will Oversee and assist maintenance and janitorial staff in completion of their assigned tasks.
- An Engineer maintains a preventative maintenance schedule and keeping the building in compliance with city codes.
- An Engineer Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
- An Engineer Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
- An Engineer Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Vocational/ College preferred
- 3 years of experience working with Boilers, Chillers, HVAC
- Pool/ Spa certification preferred
- 1 year multifamily experience
- Experience with Building Automation System
