Position Summary
This position is responsible for SAP Basis Administration as the infrastructure lead for hardware and software for all SAP applications. The position will be a member of an Information Services team that supports and develops SAP solutions for a manufacturing plant.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. Position Summary
This position is responsible for SAP Basis Administration as the infrastructure lead for hardware and software for all SAP applications. The position will be a member of an Information Services team that supports and develops SAP solutions for a manufacturing plant.
Essential Skills and Functions
- Manage day-to-day SAP Basis Administration of several SAP Systems.
- Lead a team and formally supervise one or more direct reports.
- Lead projects to upgrade server and storage infrastructure.
- Lead projects to install, configure, upgrade, and patch the operating systems, databases, and SAP software.
- Maintain and monitor the SAP infrastructure including servers, fiber switches, EVA/SAN, tape library, UPS, and VMware.
- Identify problems and provide timely solutions.
- Initiate and manage service calls for hardware and software issues.
- Maintain readiness for disaster recovery with regular DR testing and monitor backups.
- Develop and maintain documented procedures for all job activities.
- Provide support and guidance to IS analysts and business users for urgent production down situations, such as loss of functionality or emergency break-fix scenarios. Collaborate as part of a team to resolve issues to root cause.
- Budget and Cost Control related to operational and project expenses.
- Accountable for IT Governance and alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Responsible for delivery of formal updates to leadership regarding KPI's related to budget, project performance and SL
- Functional and technical knowledge of the ITIL workflow platforms (such as SysAid and ServiceNow)
- Well-versed with working with outsourced service desk and application support teams to leverage and develop processes to continuously identify opportunities to drive processes to L1 and L2 support activities
- SAP Certifications for System Administration, Solution Manager, HANA, and S/4 HANA Conversion.

- Understanding of High availability, and public cloud platforms
- Ability to balance the long-term and short-term implications of individual decisions

- Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
- Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited institution
- 5 years' minimum experience in a similar role (SAP Basis and Infrastructure areas)
