What are the responsibilities and job description for the Podcast Producer Intern position at BuildWitt?
BuildWitt is on a mission to build a better Dirt World by solving the biggest problems in the heavy civil construction, earthwork, and mining industries.
How you will get to help us do that in this role:
You’ll get to assist in the weekly production and post-production of multiple BuildWitt podcasts. Collaborate with Sr. Podcast Producer on editing, production, and organization. You will also help with various marketing avenues by assisting in helping create, post and manage content on social media platforms.
This position is based locally to our newly constructed Nashville office which you can tour here
What you will get to do day-to-day:
- Edit conversation-style podcasts using preferred audio editing software using appropriate techniques and plugins to achieve optimal and consistent sound quality
- Prep audio for video editor so sound is consistent between video and audio versions of podcasts
- Upload and organize all podcast episodes to the hosting platform
- Assist in episode write-ups/summaries of podcast episodes
- Assist video team with creating social clips from podcast episodes
- Manage all file assets related to the podcast team, and keep them backed up on our team Google Drive
The skills you possess:
- Solid understanding of audio recording and production techniques for podcasting
- Proficient with a DAW/audio editing software of your choice
- Basic understanding of microphones and signal chains
- Comfortable with a Mac environment
