Automation Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be capable of performing the duties of an Automation Engineer including but not limited to:

• Troubleshoot the plant automation systems to support daily production while maintaining knowledge of the following:

• Rockwell Automation ControLogix, CompactLogic controllers and Logix 5000 programming software
• PowerFlex 700 and 500 series drives
• EtherNet IP networking
• PanelView ME and SE experience
• Rockwell Flex and Point I/O Systems
• Motion Controls
  • ControLogix and MO2E motion modules
  • Yaskawa MP2300IEC
• Fluid Power Experience
  • Pneumatic
  • Hydraulic
• Responsible for the overall well-being & improvement of existing automation systems utilizing the following:
• Autocad to document and update existing systems
• RSLogix 5000 and 500 to modify existing programming
• FactoryTalk View ME and SE to modify existing PanelView programs
• Assist Maintenance Manager with mechanical and electrical projects
• Assist Automation Engineer with control system projects

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in related technical field
• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability & willingness to support off-shift operations via phone and/or directly onsite when required
• Knowledge of the following systems or similar systems:
  • Autocad
  • RSLogix 5000 & 500
  • FactoryTalk View ME & SE
  • ControLogix & CompactLogic
  • PowerFlex
  • Rockwell Flex and Point I/O Systems
