Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Superintendent is responsible for supervision and management of the construction, installation and turnover of commercial and government projects. Essential abilities, duties, and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as required):
•Effectively manage the correspondence and communication process for assigned projects utilizing memos, pending items, logs, and other management tools as necessary.
•Effectively evaluate and interpret all contract documents.
•Develop and manage the scheduling process.
•Assist in maintain project quality control.
•Effectively manage the closeout of assigned projects.
•Enforce safety and security on jobsite.
•Employee is expected to work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean work area.
Job Qualifications Are:
•Ability to motivate staff and subcontractors, to lead by example, and stay on schedule.
•Construction degree preferred, but not mandatory.
•Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug screen and background check.
•Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed to perform job tasks.
•Computer skills.
•Advanced ability to read and understand blueprints.
•Ability to coordinate many different activities.
•Ability to read and understand project schedules and other project reports to develop pre-planning opportunities.
•Ability to recognize quality work.
•Knowledge of industry safety procedures.
•Be able to maintain owner, designer/engineer and client relationships.
