- Weekly Schedule for this role***
- Wednesday - Saturday, 10 hours per day
- Wednesday and Thursday - flexible on what time you work
- Friday and Saturday, 2p - 12p EST (open to any time zone in the US)
As a Systems Administrator I, You Will
- Monitor and maintain all production system equipment and services
- Ensure 24/7 availability of the production application environment. This will include 24/7 on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis.
- Document technical environments, processes and procedures, testing plans, project plans.
- Provide direct support to Software Development, Quality Engineering, Customer Support, Professional Services and third party vendors as needed to resolve production problems
- Maintain network and systems configurations for national and international data centers.
- Participate in the planning and execution of new product deployment and enhancement projects, ensuring preparedness in servicing the product
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1 to 3 years total experience with systems administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Linux (Debian, CentOS/Redhat)
- Windows server experience
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, network devices such as switches, hubs, routers, firewalls
- Previous experience in a SaaS and/or high volume website environment preferred
- LDAP/Kerberos authentication against Microsoft Active Directory
- SAN and NAS technologies (iSCSI, FCP, CIFS, NFS, etc)
- Proficiency in Log Management with ELK, Splunk, Sumo Logic, or equivalent
- Previous on-call experience
- Puppet/CFEngine/Ansible Experience
- Experience in managing containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes and HELM)
- Exposure to one or more of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash
- Experience with operating infrastructure which supports Java or .NET based applications
