Overview:
This position is responsible for providing technical assistance to plant operations through problem definition, basic design, project management, employee training and trouble shooting. Additionally, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for assisting in project execution and process improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the Maintenance Department, Engineering Manager, and others as needed
- Execute special projects as assigned by the Maintenance & Reliability Manager.
- Pursue and implement technological advancement that will ensure maximum efficiencies
- Work with outside firms, contractors, maintenance, and operations personnel to integrate projects with the existing facilities
- Work with project teams to install, document and program instrumentation and electrical systems
- Manage and assist in administering, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC systems, Such as, Siemens & Allen Bradley, plant networks - DeviceNet, Ethernet, ModbusPlus, & Allen Bradley networks, HMI systems and other related process hardware and operating software
- Manage and assist all technicians, contractors, & maintenance employees working on the automation system, controls, instrumentation, electrical, software, network, and computer systems

- Responsible for plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to maintain all automation throughout the facility along with all electric circuits of 480VAC or less
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair high voltage lighting, VFD’s and AC/DC systems
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC (Allen-Bradley) systems
- Ability to read and understand ladder logic is necessary to troubleshoot most field equipment in the plant.
- Familiar with networking systems like Controlnet, device net, Ethernet, Data Highway
- Troubleshoot, locate, identify, or diagnose electrical malfunction
- Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems or component
- Calibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentation
- Follow wiring diagram
- Follow, interpret, and read blueprints or schematic
- Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications
- Test electrical circuits, components, or systems
Skill/Experience Requirements:
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology- 7-10 years of progressive plant engineering responsibilities
- Training and/or experience in AutoCad, PLC systems, Process Control Instrumentation systems
- Experience in developing and implementing capital projects and plant/process improvements
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Candidate must be collaborative, knowledgeable, diligent, and able to establish and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with employees and coworkers.
Work Schedule:
Standard (On-call 24/7 as needed)
