Overview

Responsible for management of mechanical/electrical maintenance employees and contractor activities in all areas of the plant. Train and mentor mechanics and technicians in a reliability-centered maintenance environment. Develop and implement maintenance related projects throughout the plant. Provide troubleshooting direction for critical mechanical failures in the crush plant.

Essential Functions

• Promote safety culture and manage safety work orders and projects
• Embrace, promote and cooperate fully with the ARROP program implementation and incorporate ARROP activities into standard work procedures.
• Train and supervise the Mechanical Maintenance Technicians within a predictive reliability-centered environment
• Maintenance of 24/7 plant with minimal process downtime
• Administration and execution of work orders within the SAP system
• Supervise the Maintenance shop hourly employees, including ADP requirements
• Working with the Engineering and Purchasing personnel in analyzing and specifying replacement machine components
• Annual Shutdown planning and coordination of facility mechanical maintenance activities
• Monthly Shutdown planning and work management
• Daily management of crush mechanical problems and supporting mechanical maintenance in refinery
• Preventive and Predictive maintenance in crush plant
• Managing and troubleshooting technical problems with process equipment and completing failure analysis work
• Management of purchasing documents and invoices related to contractor work and equipment purchases
• Implementing new mechanical equipment for increased reliability
• Share in after-hours “on-call” responsibilities
• Other duties, as assigned by plant management staff

Skill/Experience Requirement

• Bachelors in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
• Two-year Associates Degree desired, High School diploma/GED required
• Five year’s experience in a 24/7 continuous processing environment
• Previous supervisor, management experience is a must
• Experience in developing and implementing skills training programs for mechanics and technicians
• Computer skills including MS office, SAP and/or MRP system
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills directed toward effective
