The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact and convey the Bunzl message. The work requires a creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time management, budget and deadlines.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer to join the Corporate Marketing Team. As our team continues to expand, this position offers future opportunities to grow and add talent to the team.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with Creative Team to determine marketing/advertising approach to a project
- Developing creative concepts to meet those marketing needs
- Create logo concepts for new brands
- Create Social Media graphics
- Design email blast graphics for companywide newsletters
- Contributing ideas to the marketing strategy, ie. innovative ideas and creative solutions
- Work with Marketing Content Specialist for Product Copy
- Create and manipulate images and artwork in Photoshop
- Design and layout Order guides & Catalogs in inDesign
- Design large format signage in Illustrator for Sales Conferences & Tradeshows
- Develop interactive ads and banners for websites and Apps
- Update WordPress websites and assist in building websites as needed
- Work with outside vendors such as printers, photographers, manufacturers, etc.
- Proof reading and preparing work to be sent to printer
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Associate’s Degree
- Or 5 years’ working experience as a graphic designer
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Proven creative and visual skills through a portfolio review
- Knowledge of both print and web processes
- Able to multi-task projects
- Flexibility: Patience in amending designs to meet changing marketing focus or client comments. A matter-of-fact approach when ideas or designs are rejected
- Ability to pay attention to detail. Grammar & Spelling are very important
- Good team working skills
- Awareness of competitive environment in which they work
- Impeccable communication skills
