Data Center Construction Manager

The Data Center Construction Project Manager will be responsible for leading the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of 3 active projects consisting of existing data centers in three Ohio locations with large expansions. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to manage data center construction project management and have relevant data center and mission critical facilities experience. The locations are in Ohio and

You will be the driving force behind ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

What you will Do:

· The Data Center Construction Project Manager will travel between sites as-needed for pre-walks, billing and change order reviews, and contractor meetings for 3 locations in Ohio using ProCore.

· Possess the knowledge and experience to manage the construction of data centers.

· Administer the contract with the client and the General Contractor during construction and close out of data centers enforcing the contract to ensure a high level of project administration in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided by the clients design consultants.

· Oversee electrical and low voltage equipment coordination and commissioning and quality assurance.

· Enforce the construction contract with the client to minimize costs and seek to obtain the lowest reasonable costs for the project.

· Monitor and ensure that the General Contractor and all other separate contractors along with base building and site developer and any suppliers of owner furnished contractors and aligned with project goals, scheduling, and other coordinated efforts to avoid scheduling or interference issues.

· Advise client on the schedule implications of any proposed changes to requirements in accordance with the “Model Change Management” system.

· Review third-party inspection reports and verify that any issues are resolved to meet Bureau Veritas and Client satisfaction.

· Assist the team and vendors to plan and complete the commissioning phase of the project including adequate off-site and on-site testing to be completed and documented in time for the handover to commissioning milestone.

· Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.

· Execute stellar client delivery starting with pre-construction services (bid/permit/schedule), construction oversight (construction/change orders/invoicing/punch lists), store start-up and turnover, and project close out.

· Plan and schedule project timelines for multiple projects and delegate to appropriate personnel.

· Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions to leadership teams and clients.

· Must have proposal preparation, budget development, forecasting, and financial management experience.

· Knowledge of/experience with web based project management is necessary.

· Read, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents.

· Safety Operate with safety at the forefront of all construction initiatives.

What you Need for the Role:

Education and/or Experience:

· B.S. or B.A. degree in Construction, Architecture or Engineering or related degree required.

· Minimum of 7 years construction project management experience.

· Data center construction or mission critical facilities project management experience required!

· Experience and proficiency with ProCore ideal.

· The ideal candidate possesses electrical and low voltage equipment coordination and commissioning or quality assurance experience.

· Experience managing projects with a contract value of $25M

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

· Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP and LEED certified.

· A valid driver's license is with no significant MVA points/violations.

Other Qualifications:

· Local to Columbus, OH or other Ohio locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
