Position: UNIX,AIX,LINUX – System Admin
Location: Denver, CO / Day 1 Onsite
Duration: Long term Contract.

Job Description:
- Implements upgrades and patches. Recommends and remediates problems and vulnerabilities to meet customer needs and maintain a stable environment.
- Works with clients and senior engineers to document/implement storage and backup requests or revisions. Practices change control and applies strict adherence to FRIT change control policy and follows all change guidelines.
- Engages in infrastructure review and operational readiness activities to ensure solutions are production ready.
- Performs moderate level infrastructure support tasks, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting and provides resolution of problem tickets.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute AIX OS and firmware maintenance.
- Firmware upgrades and install AIX OS patches
- Participate in disaster recovery exercise
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Linux RHEL 6.x / RHEL 7 distributions,
- Support experience with RHEL 6.x and RHEL 7 Server environment.
- Good understanding of Server Clustering.
- Backup/Archiving, Patch Management tools and concepts.
- Experience in software deployments and automatic deployment solutions will be an advantage.
- Network knowledge on TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WAN,LAN architectures
- System monitoring experience,
- Experience in virtualization (VMware), Symantec Backup
- Experience in Storage, SAN/NAS solutions
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong documentation and/or technical writing skills
Understands Shell Scripting concepts, administration tasks in Solaris 8 to AIX 5L Version 5.1. - Successful administration & configuration of GPFS & PowerHA environments
- Sun Solaris administration, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
- RHEL 6.x and RHEL 7 Server environment
- Familiar with Tivoli Storage and Oracle RAC
- VIOS administration, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
- AIX Enterprise Edition administration, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and patching.
