Position: VMware Admin with Wintel Windows Experience

Location:100% Remote

Duration: Full Time

Job Description:

Windows JD:

• In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting on Wintel Platform and knowledge of server maintenance/configurations (Windows Server OS & VMware)
• Should have good experience in working on remote access, primarily in supporting, connecting and troubleshooting activities.
• Experience in deploying /supporting /maintaining /Managing Windows Active Directory Domain environments at an enterprise level.
• Managing user accounts and groups on Windows 2012\2016\2019 Domain controlled.
• Managing User administration, Groups, Organizational Units, Group Policy objects.
• Monitor and resolve the system alerts on SCOM (System Centre Operation Manager.
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and their R2 Class Operating systems
• Knowledge on Server Roles DNS, DHCP, File Server, IIS, FTP , DFS,  SMB shares and Permissions and Failover
• Install firmware and operating systems patches and upgrades manually / using Microsoft tools or Third Party tools like Manage Engine.
• Understanding in RAIDconcepts and configuration.
• Anticipate, identify, troubleshoot, mitigate, and resolve hardware issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues related to performance and other Health checks.
• Troubleshooting / Root cause identification, Disaster recovery & BCP planning and execution.
• The ability to understand customer requirements and present solutions that will meet business objectives.
• Good communication skill is mandatory, as the resource might have to interact with international teams.
• Scripting Knowledge on Power shell
• Knowledge in ITIL processes ( Incident, Change, Request and Problem Management)

VMware JD:

• Expertise experience on Virtualization, ESX and VMWare
• Hands on experience with VMWare and Managing and troubleshooting skills in VMWare ESXi Server Infrastructure.
• vSphere systems administration/support (VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, VCenter, storage migrations, P2V migrations).
• Troubleshooting / Root cause identification
• Install / Configure /Upgrade Virtual platform environment
• Configure and Manage multipath solution for SAN storage LUNs
• Good hands on command line of 
• Good hands on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.
• Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
• Upgrade and Maintain VMWare ESX and GSXservers and virtual sessions
• Complex Health Checking.
• Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers
• Work on major severity and complex server issues
• RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission.
• Planning and implementing fixes / Patches
• Work with Change & Problem Management Tools
• Create regular reports for Management requirements
• Identify and recomm
• end improvements to existing processes
• Analyze Problems & escalate to appropriate Levels.
• The ability to understand customer requirements and present solutions that will meet business objectives
