Are you available evenings into night hours? Join us for the Kitchen Closer Shift! Our Burger King franchise is looking for enthusiastic, hard-workers to join our Kitchen Team. We’re hiring Kitchen Closers to continue daily food prep while beginning the closing operations of cooking equipment, resulting in a sanitized kitchen for the Opening team to begin morning service for our Burger King Guests.
Kitchen Closer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Highly motivated and ready for late shift, back of house positions - must be available late shift hours to be considered for this role.
Follow all operational procedures outlined in the Burger King Operations Manual.
Ensures food safety standards are met; maintains product quality standards (measured by product checks and guest comments).
Follows kitchen cleanliness guidelines, sanitation standards and safety procedures that have been established by the Company, and ensures that waste is managed within standards.
Called upon to dismantle cooking equipment, sanitize and clean equipment, climb stepladder to remove and clean hood filters, empty fry vats of hot oil to filter or discard in appropriate containers and scrub and degrease floors.
Leaves shift with kitchen & equipment ready for Opener to begin breakfast service.
Ensures that hot and fresh products are served fast.
Assist with training new and existing crew on new & existing procedures.
Completing other assigned tasks delegated by manager.
Requirements:
Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Fast Serve restaurant experience strongly preferred.
English language proficiency.
Requires a High School diploma or the equivalent (GED).
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
Requires knowing the menu items served and being able to knowledgeably explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item.
Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize activities, make decisions during cook cycles and to solve problems quickly and effectively.
Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand up to 8 hours to perform normal job functions.
Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work at a fast pace.
Ability to remain calm in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work flexible late evening hours.
Reliable transportation.
