Job Purpose:    

What do we do?  We Save Lives by protecting our customers from radiation exposure using our patented attenuation material, American made garments and accessories.  Burlington Medical is excited to provide a great career opportunity for a Product and Pricing Analyst with one of the leading manufacturers and providers of radiation protection.

Used to telling stories with numbers, this individual will provide strategic product and pricing analysis to internal business partners and manage internal reporting and administration of our price books and contracts.  You will analyze market drivers and the competition to recommend product pricing, margin considerations and product life-cycle considerations.  Responsibilities include product sales and pricing analyses, contract administration, pricing optimization, pricing implementation and monitoring of contract compliance programs.  

Essential Functions:


  • Research, collect and analyze data regarding product sales, product margins, customer preferences, demographics, buying habits, and market needs to better identify market potential, sales potential, and other factors influencing product demand for optimum product assortments.
  • Perform data extraction, manipulation, cleaning, analysis, and audit of large datasets to tell its story, defining well-structured procedures and maintaining reproducibility of results. Combine that data in new ways to provide product assortment and market insights. Pioneer new ways to analyze and visualize data.
  • Work with Sales/Marketing/Customer Experience and Finance to correctly implement product portfolio and established pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue/margin targets.  Be a gatekeeper for pricing adjustments.
  • Responsible for understanding, coordinating, and recommending pricing strategies and discontinued items and categories. 
  • Deliver accurate pricing data to internal and external customers. Create/administer pricing databases and coordinate implementation of pricing proposals across the organization in Salesforce. 
  • Validate and ensure internal and external output is accurate.
  • Maintain day-to-day continued support for internal and external customers, proving prompt support to resolve issues with products and pricing in Salesforce and online.

  • This individual must have a clear and in-depth understanding of our customers, our market, and our overall competitive environment as well as our product lifecycles 
  • Research and collect data on competitors’ marketing tactics, product attributes, USPs, pricing and product/service distribution
  • Administer contracted customers, monitoring terms, renewal periods, sales thresholds and contracted price lists
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • May be called upon to work extended hours during busy periods

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels within the organization as well as collaborate with cross-functional business partners and teams.

  • An energetic, effective, self-starter who excels in a collaborative environment, is flexible and adaptable to change.

 

Required: 

  • 2-4 years of work experience in market research, statistical, financial or data analysis
  • Experience with data management platforms and visualization tools
  • Expertise in converting complex data findings into tables, graphs and/or data visualizations.  Strong statistical foundation.
  • Proficient computer skills and understanding of ERP systems, business processes and Microsoft Office Suite.    
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with various CRM capabilities, specifically within Salesforce.  Functional knowledge of Quote-To-Cash, Configuration, Product catalog/modeling, Pricing and Quoting functionality is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technologies, applications, and solutions.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems as well as provide documentation, guidance and instruction to users.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, managing multiple projects with deadlines.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, while being self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline or a graduate degree is a plus.
