Manager - Data Science

**LOCATION** 4287 Route 130 S Edgewater Park NJ US 08010 **Overview** Burlington is on an exciting journey to transform the off-price business model with data-driven analytics and insights. The Manager of Data Science will apply their leadership, project management, and technical skills to deliver data products across the spectrum of descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analytics that inform decisioning and drive business results. This individual will lead and develop a team of data scientists, as well as work collaborativelywith business and IT stakeholders across multiple functions, to define and execute a strategy that delivers sustainable, cost-effective, and value-add solutions.This position requires excellent communication and analytical skills, strong customer service attitude, emphasis on quality, and a process-oriented approach. **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field; Advanced degree preferred **Experience:** 12 years of Information Technology experience 5 years of experience with applied analytics 2 years managing analytics teams **Minimum Technical Requirements:** Strong background in structured systems and data analysis Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R) Thorough knowledge of statistical and predictive modeling, machine learning, probability and decision theory, and other quantitative methods Experience working within SDLC and Agile development methodologies **Required:** Team Leadership: Leads by example; coaches in the moment; sets clear expectations and holds individuals accountable; inspires team to bring best selves; develops talent.
