What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Burnt Oaks North Apartments?
Small but professional office setting. Employees are expected to work as a team to meet the needs of all customers with the goal of providing a relaxing and well maintained environment.
Detail-oriented person who will be responsible to maintain the financial records of the apartment community in an accurate and timely fashion. He/She will verify, allocate and post details of accounts receivable and payable transactions to accounts or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts. Other duties include collections, maintenance of resident/vendor information systems and resident/vendor files and performing account reconciliations.
- Input all rents and utility payments into Yardi Breeze software
- Review and pay all invoices daily
- Provide daily customer service, answering phones, showing and leasing apartments when Leasing Agent is otherwise occupied with other residents
- Reconciles the rental and escrow accounts for properties daily
- Review monthly credit card statements and pay as applicable
- Assist with renewals as needed
- Process all move in and move outs through Yardi Breeze software within a timely manner
- Computes, types and mails monthly statements to tenants using Yardi Breeze
- Filing in courts for all failure to pays, collections, etc
- Assist in maintaining organized general files and office at all times
- Compiles reports as requested by Manager
- Assist in preparation of annual budget
- Assist in preparation of end of year financial statements to include 1099s to past tenants, vendors and all government entities
- Assist in maintaining tenant/vendor insurance records
- Assist in maintaining replacement logs, reviewing periodically with Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

· Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
· Experience as a clerk or bookkeeper in a similar field is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.27 - $24.79 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
