They will assist the Director of Marketing & Public Relations with the development, design and implementation of marketing, communications, and public relations strategies.
The Specialist is responsible for the administration of the Alumni Relations program. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Public Relations.
This position is Exempt. The starting salary for this position is $50,000 depending on experience. This is a remote hybrid position, but candidate should be in close proximity to the Florida Campus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Develop, design and implement marketing, communications and public relations initiatives and programs, as assigned.
Develop, strengthen and implement both campus-based and regional alumni programs and events . Develop regular written material including newsletters, brochures, press releases, and stories of interest.
Promotes and publicizes College activities and programs. Support public relations and related communication initiatives.
Support the WordPress function of the College’s website, the blog functionality, and the newsletter archive. Produce social media postings, respond to inquiries, and monitor comments (FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
Support College brand strategies. Support marketing and communication requests from internal departments. Assist with development of creative collateral in multiple media as required.
Perform other duties as assigned. Other skills important to this position : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing, editing, public speaking, basic graphic design skills, and development / delivery of presentations.
Strong social media skills. Experience with search engine optimization preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software Strong team player who works well with a wide variety of people Commitment to the institution’s mission and vision.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Creative Media, or a related field.
Two to three years of related experience. Portfolio of relevant previous projects required. Direct experience in supporting alumni relations administration preferred.

Approximately 90% of this position’s duties require the use of a computer. Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.
The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. Travel required. Work Schedule : Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm May occasionally require evenings and weekends.
