WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Retail Product Manager oversees all aspects of product management with the goal of improving product offerings to meet market demand while enhancing competitive advantage and profitability. The manager is responsible for new product research and implementation as well as the analytics of existing product performance and will report to the EVP, Retail Banking.
Additional duties:
- Develop new products or product packages as a result of market analysis and product research
- Responsible for the development of comprehensive business project plans, including goals and objectives, project scope, costs and benefits, project timeline for development and implementation and bank resources/staff needed for the project
- Oversee the development and implementation of products including testing and rollout
- Strong focus on analyzing performance data and profitability of all products and providing information to appropriate managers and staff
- Develops and continues to refine a standard set of reports which summarize the performance of retail product and services
- Reviews reports and data monthly to ensure that the system data is accurate
- Manages certain vendor relationships associated with retail products, developing strong communication channels and overseeing vendor performance
- Review product income produced as well as billing and other costs to the bank
- Works closely with the marketing department to develop marketing campaigns for products and tracking results of promotions
- Collaborates across teams, including regular communication with the finance and project management team on product strategy
- Serves on committees and oversees other projects as needed to further enhance retail products and profitability

EDUCATION, TRAINING & STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
Requires Bachelor’s degree; Business or related degree.
Requires 5 or more years of related banking experience.
Pursuant to the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (“SAFE Act”), all Sales Managers (if lending) are required to maintain current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (“NMLS”). If such registration is not active as of the hire date, the Sales Manager must immediately attain active registration upon employment. Sales Managers who fail to maintain an active and current registration will be unable to lend and may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
