Construction Superintendent

Bush Construction is currently seeking candidates to fill a Construction Superintendent position with the firm. The successful candidate would oversee public works construction projects. This candidate should be well versed in general construction techniques, problem solving, and understand the various construction trades and how they come together to take a project from initial planning to completion.

Job responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for leading and managing subcontractors.
• Oversee all phases of a public works construction project from initial planning to completion.
• Safety Program administration and site safety responsibility.
• Coordinate with Owner, Architect, Inspector, and relevant agencies.

Required knowledge and skills:

• Minimum 3 years construction superintendent experience (including experience with public works projects).
• OSHA Site Safety experience.
• Up to date with modern technology and display excellent communication skills.
• Proven construction technical knowledge with understanding of various construction trades and how they come together to take a project from initial planning to completion (i.e. concrete, masonry, metals, wood & plastics, moisture proofing, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishing, conveying systems, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communication, security, earthwork, exterior improvements, utilities, demolition, etc.).
• Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to read and analyze plans and specifications and supervise the construction of a project according to plans and specifications.
• Clear understanding of the flow of construction documents.
• Experience in building trades preferred.

This position will be working primarily from the temporary jobsite offices on projects in the Fresno, Kings, Tulare, and Madera County areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
