Job Posting for Logistics Supervisor at Bush Industries, Inc.
Scope:
Responsible for Logistics functions; scheduling and dispatching orders; supervision of Logistic Coordinators and overall customer relations both external and internal.
Key high-level deliverables will include:
Maintain efficient scheduling and dispatching of customer orders
Be knowledgeable of import regulations
Manage the dedicated truck movements, currently 2 drivers
Manage less-than-truckload relationships and negotiations in concert with EVP Operations
Develop a mentoring relationship with 1 direct report at this time. This could expand as our sales grow
Answer questions asked by customer service and resolve issues as needed
Promote safety culture and safety standards
Manage intermodal services to Sacramento
Manage spot purchasing of truckload shipments
Maintain relationship with NVOCC’s, and work closely with EVP on negotiations
Impact service levels for NVOCC’s and all water & Mini Land Bridge
Import and domestic freight bill auditing
Control detention, demurrage, pre pulls and per diem with the short haul drayman

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Labor Category – Non - Exempt
Expected schedule : Monday through Friday- 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Compensation range for this position is $58,000 - $72,000 annually. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and will vary based on job related knowledge, skills and experience.
Travel:
Minimal – 5%
If based in Jamestown will require approximately 50% travel to the Erie Distribution Facility
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business administration or similar preferred
Five years related experience in dispatching, logistics, project management and/or employee supervision
Import regulations - training
Broker’s license is a plus

Computer skills including Microsoft Office (I.e., Word, Excel, Outlook)
