Job Posting for Sales Manager at Business Information Group, Inc
The Sales Manager oversees and leads the daily operations of the sales department. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitating the training of the sales team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitate growth and support sales targets by successfully leading the sales team
Hire, train and develop sales personnel to align with BIG’s go-to-market and brand strategies
Guide the sales team in maximizing share of wallet inside of existing accounts that align with corporate revenue and profit goals
Strategize with sales team to drive new customer acquisition
Create and manage annual revenue and profit budgets for the sales team
Create and manage Strategic Territory Management plans for existing sales staff
Manage accurate and timely forecasts for individuals and departments
Analyze market potential and trends and align potential opportunity to solutions
Develop in conjunction with VP KPI’s necessary for team to be successful; report and manage to those KPI’s
