Coating Operator

Job Title: Coating Technician:

Location: 3300 Coffey Lane, Santa Rosa, CA , 95403

Duration: 12 Months-Assignment has got the potential of converting to Direct Hire position after 90 days

Work Schedule: 4/10-A

Company is transitioning to a 24/7 schedule and applicants must be shift flexible; must be willing to work M-Th, 10 hour shifts Days, Swings, or Mids. The shifts will also include Fri-Sun, 12 hour shifts AM (6am-6:30pm) or PM (6pm-6:30am) Every attempt will be made to keep employees schedule consistent. However, as the needs of the business change the need to change an employee’s shift may change. An applicant’s ability to work all shifts, especially mid shift weekday or weekend will be given extra consideration.

Day Shift- 6am-4:30pm

Swings Shifts- 2pm-12:30am

Mid Shift- 10pm-8:30am

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate Coating Machines: requires a basic understanding of coating technology or the ability to learn while on the job, mechanical skills, trouble-shooting skills and the ability to follow precise instructions.
• Process and inspect parts. Clean and load parts into coating chamber.
• Coating machine maintenance: requires the ability to assemble and disassemble equipment, bead blasting, perform target changes through physical agility.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical skills are a plus and can potentially lead to additional responsibilities within the department with troubleshooting and repairs
• Perform and maintain workplace housekeeping duties.
• Must be able to use grinder or small hand tools.

• Able to perform in-process measurements on coated material
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent; prior coating or related experience preferred; one year certificate from college or technical school desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations with other employees.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions and apply changes to a process. Ability to adapt to change, detail oriented, patient.
• Basic math and intermediate computer skills, knowledge of spreadsheet software, (Excel). Demonstrate basic keyboarding and computer skills for data entry, machine operation, and report generation. Microsoft Office experience is preferred.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 38 pounds and occasionally lift and or push/pull up to 45 pounds. Lift 69 pounds floor to waist. Requires the ability to wear a respirator.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
