Metro Detroit landscape company with very aggressive growth goals is looking for a salesperson to drive business development.
The company is open to candidates without landscaping experience; however, the ideal candidate will have sufficient industry experience to execute a full-cycle sales process, including : generating opportunities, meeting with prospects and clients, accurately estimating time and materials, preparing proposals, presenting and finally closing.
Responsibilities Call on property managers, apartment complexes, and other buyers of commercial landscaping and snow services Document prospecting and sales activity Meet with prospects and clients to understand their landscaping needs Prepare estimates and proposals and present to prospect or client Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals Represent the company in a professional manner Other tasks and responsibilities as necessary to advance the company Requirements Must be able to handle rejection in the course of prospecting Must be willing to make cold calls using the phone and email Must have strong communication ability both written and verbal Able and willing to work at office in Oak Park, MI.
This is not a remote position Strong knowledge of commonly used local plants, trees, and landscape materials (preferred) Strong knowledge of common landscaping practices and procedures (preferred) Previous B2B sales experience (preferred) Experience selling to or working with property managers (preferred) Basic computer & technology use ability Compensation Base salary plus commission Uncapped earning potential Compensation offer based on experience and ability This description is for informational purposes and not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities or requirements.
