Position Overview:

Busy Bee Organics is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate should have previous barista experience and a passion for creating outstanding coffee and espresso beverages. Additionally, the candidate should be able to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate flexibility in their work schedule, including weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and Serve Beverages: Craft a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages according to Busy Bee Organics' standards, ensuring each drink is prepared with precision and care.

Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about our menu. Engage with customers in a friendly and informative manner.

Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the café area, equipment, and workstations clean and organized at all times. Adhere to health and safety standards.

Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions, process payments, and maintain a balanced cash register.

Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about our menu offerings, including ingredients, specials, and any dietary considerations to provide accurate information to customers.

Stock and Inventory: Monitor and restock coffee beans, pastries, and supplies as needed. Assist in inventory management and notify management of low inventory levels.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth café operations, assist in food preparation when needed, and help maintain a positive work environment.

Flexibility: Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional evenings, to accommodate the café's peak hours and special events.

Qualifications:

Previous barista experience preferred.

Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.

Basic math skills and cash handling experience.

Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso equipment.

Food handling and safety certification (or willingness to obtain).

Flexibility to work weekends and a variable schedule during the week.
