Supports:
-Analyzing Manufacturing Operations
- Analyzing Manufacturing Equipment Availability and Utilization
-Performing Month-end Cost Accounting Close
-Maintaining Cost Accounting System and Cost Ledger
-Performing Life Cycle Cost-Benefit Analysis
-Analyzing Inventory Valuations.
TYPICAL EDUCATION:
* Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Master's preferred
* CPA or CMA preferred
* 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance with 2-3 years working in a Services or Manufacturing environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Adaptable to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization
* Proficient with MS Office;
* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including to ability to do:
-complex formulas
-Pivot tables
-Reports
* Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and Python is a plus
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Demonstrated knowledge and application of (GAAP) Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
* Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management in both written form and orally
* Strong PC skills including:
-experience with (ERP) Enterprise Resource Planning Software/Applications such as:
-Microsoft Dynamics or SAP,
-(HFM) -Oracle Hyperion Financial Management
* Strong attention to detail and delivering a quality work product on time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participate in the month-end closing process
* Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
* Provide accounting support to field organization
* Maintain accounting standard work documentation
* Perform cost accounting functions and associated entries necessary for proper revenue recognitions or deferrals
* Approve journal entries and account reconciliations
* Provide balance sheet fluctuation analysis
* Prepare and submit financial data (including HFM supplemental data) for corporate reporting
* Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Tax packages as requested by Company's Tax Department
* Maintain a strong internal controls environment
* Provide inputs into incentive calculations
* Special ad-hoc projects as assigned by the manager
