Schedule: Working schedule is targeted for 1st shift Mon-Fri: 7:00am - 5:00pm CST. Second shift and weekend coverage can be used to complete high priority parts to meet deadlines.
Detailed Job Description: Lead Part Inspector
- Perform part reviews of unserviceable assets and collect measurement data.
- The dimensional/visual reviews of incoming parts, in-clinic tasks, analysis, and outflow will require working with other P&W groups (onsite or remote) and P&W 3PL partner on site.
- Personnel are not expected to lift any object weighing more than 25 lbs. H/W above 25 lbs. in weight should be moved by two people or with lifting devices.
- Work involves only commercial engine parts.
- Employees working this SOW must be US Citizens (not US Persons).
- Work will be performed at client's warehouse site.
- As a lead you will assist other employees in understanding and completing daily activities.
- Able to read and interpret part drawing information
- No-contact or optical profilometer. Prefer Keyence Versatile. Similar too Polytec, or Zygo,
- No-contact or optical surface gauge. Prefer 4D InSpec
- No-contact or optical 3D Measuring. Prefer Bruker Alicona. Similar too Filmetrics.
- CMM. Prefer Faro Arm Portable
- Multisensor Measurement Machine including touch probe, scanning probe, rotary index, and telestar probe. Prefer OGP Fusion 600 LFOV.
- Portable 3D Laser Scanner. Prefer Hawk II.
- Digital Microscope. Prefer Leica Emspira 3. Similar to KLA or Tribonet.
- Eddy Current Indicators.
- Video Borescope. Prefer Mentor Visual iQ
- Blue Light Inspection. Prefer Zeiss ATOS 5
- Digital Camera
- Aerospace engine experience required
- Demonstrates good problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Capable of leading small (3-4) person teams.
