Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Intern or Co-Op Student, you will be provided with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in our dynamic production environment. You will work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to real-world projects, and develop valuable skills within the manufacturing sector. Responsibilities include providing production support by assisting in day-to-day activities including machine operation, assembly, and quality control as well as collaboration with other production departments to ensure efficient timely completion of processes. Additionally, the Manufacturing Intern or Co-Op Student will assist with quality control measures to ensure product meets or exceeds industry standards. Work will occur in a continuous learning environment where the student will participate in team meetings, safety briefings, and learn best practices when working in a production facility.
Minimum Skills Requirements:
- Set-up and operate various production and test equipment as needed.
- Perform in-process inspections of parts/components.
- Handle sheets of stock, parts, and components in such a manner as to not scratch or produce any other material handling defects.
- Identify and report non-conformances to supervisors.
- Perform with a positive, professional working relationship with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Must be a current student eligible for a cooperative education or internship program,
- Must possess an interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing or a related field.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and a positive attitude toward learning and contributing to the team.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Must have general computer skills.
- Must have a basic understanding of units of measure (ex. inches, millimeters, decimals, fractions, etc.).
- Must possess the manual dexterity to handle thin sheets of material without damage.
- Position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as lift, reach, and bend while operating various production equipment.
- Citizenship status must permit compliance with ITAR requirements.
