Instructional Aide - Easton, PA

Buxmont Academy, a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, is seeking a full-time instructional aide for their Tatamy Creek campus. If you enjoy working with at-risk students, have excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy learning, this position is for you.

Buxmont Academy has six campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students to grow academically and emotionally. Our teachers, counselors, and support staff work together to build a healthy community environment for our students.

Primary responsibilities for the instructional aide position include providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring to students grades 7-12, assisting teachers and other school staff with all school-related needs, and serving as a substitute when necessary.

Qualified candidates will ideally possess an associate's degree or higher level of education, and have the knowledge and ability to assist in instruction in core subjects.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Desire to support secondary school-aged students and ability to adapt to their developmental status.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high stress situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The capacity to work effectively both independently and with a team.
• Proficient computer skills.
