Position Description :
- Oversees and manages day-to-day operational activities related to the entry, collection, reporting, and costing of time across the local business employees.
- Records time on behalf of employees during extenuating circumstances, performing labor adjustments or corrections, and managing employee paid leave adjustments.
- Oversees delivery and processing of labor files for Payroll on a pre-defined schedule, ensuring pay rates and labor hours are used to calculate regular and premium pay as well as extended wages. Ensures Time Collection team is coordinating with Payroll in an effective manner to ensure final confirmation of labor costs is accurate and valid for Payroll processing.
- Manages incoming requests for ad-hoc reporting and queries, ensuring they are addressed by the correct groups within the organization whether that is Payroll, Time Collection, Legal, HR or local compliance teams. Provides professional expertise when required to respond to employee inquiries. The ideal candidate shall hold in confidence the sensitive data that will be processed and will possess strong communication skills to express themselves clearing in written and verbal format.
- Partners with various internal cross-functional and cross-sector stakeholders including compliance teams, Payroll, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Government Compliance, etc. to ensure labor reporting is compliant and addresses the most current government regulations and requirements.
- Analyzes, audits, reconciles, and resolves complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing
- Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and federal, state and IRS regulations
- Researches and interprets federal and state regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, garnishment, and wage/hour issues for payroll processing
- Manages payroll deductions, garnishments, contractor payroll, uniform invoices, and union dues
- Manages payroll taxes and provides information to accounting department for payroll tax JE’s
- Provides, tax accruals, vacation accruals, travel and expense reimbursement reports, intercompany invoices for transferring employees and payout reports to accounting to properly record transactions
- Account Reconciliations
- Supports upgrades and conducts testing between labor collection software, ERP and labor reporting software
- Supports compliance or audit requests (DCAA, Internal/External Audit) as required, in partnership with internal stakeholders across the business.
- Conducts New Hire Orientation
- Performs other related duties, as required
Required:
- Needs an accountant with exp in enterprise timekeeping systems.
(ERP OR SAP OR Workday OR Deltek OR “Microsoft Dynamics”) AND (Accountant OR Accounting)
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required.
