Title: IT Support Specialist

Job Duties:
- Perform onsite deskside Tier 2 support for the Waterloo IA location.
- Monitor and execute standard processes: imaging computers, replacing printer toner, disposing of outdated assets, and resolving trouble tickets from ServiceNow queues.
- Document and distribute information, update assets, follow KB articles for problem resolution, and adhere to unit-specific processes.
- Manage e-mail communications and maintain basic documents/records, including contact lists, process logs, problem incidence reports, and customer information updates.
- Recognize and resolve problems within established procedures; report issues falling outside established protocols.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, data supporting processes or operations, including scheduling routine equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, updating data records, and interacting with suppliers.
- Apply technical knowledge in support of processes or operations, including understanding basic printer operations and troubleshooting end user tickets following KB articles.
- Some travel between Waterloo area locations is possible.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of computing and networking concepts and fundamentals.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office, intranet, and internet functions.
- Familiarity with computer security policies and concepts.
- 1 year or more IT experience preferred, recent college graduates will be considered.
- Safety: Metatarsals required on the first day
Education Requirements:
- Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
- High School or secondary diploma or equivalent.
