Overview
By Light is seeking an Information Security Officer to provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
- Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information
- Assist with the CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation
- Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs , network switches, etc. to include system upgrades
Required Experience/Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Two (2) additional years of experience as an ISSO may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I (A CE, CCNA Security, Network CE, SSCP) or higher is required
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
- Top Secret clearance with polygraph required
- By Light does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters; vaccination requirements and testing are subject to the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements; testing is at the cost of the employee.
