Byhalia High School is seeking a full-time couselor o join our team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and creative individual who is ready to work in a school environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work with children ages15-18 years old and will have a strong interest in adolescents, couseling, college, dual credit, dual enrollment, and pursuing scholarships for our young men and women
Responsibilities
- Counseling & ACT preparation.
- Scheduling
- TST meeting
- Attend regular school meetings and parent meetings.
- Support the school administration by answering phone calls, writing reports, and completing administrative tasks.
- Attend professional development sessions on an as needed basis.
Qualifications
- Licensed (436) as a certified couselor in the State of Mississippi or be eligible for reciprocity.
- A passion for teaching children aged 15-18years old.
- A passion for working with children ages 15-18 years old.
- A passion for working with children who are learning disabled or have special needs.
- A passion for working with children who are learning disabled or have special needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a classroom setting.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in a high-pressure environment.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an endorsement as a certified counselor (436).
