ByoPlanet is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Analyst who will manage key categories of spend and lead strategic sourcing initiatives across the business.  We need someone who can collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute strategies to align with business requirements and objectives and meet/exceed expectations. 

Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Responsible for supporting and conducting strategic negotiation events for different categories across the organization.
• Strong analytical skills: able to transform data into clear and relevant information • Develop and deliver high quality presentations
• Establish relationships and lead suppliers / cross-functional teams along the process to get complete understanding from each party.
• Develop and lead price, and terms-and-conditions negotiations with suppliers
• Use and evaluate eSourcing tools and new technology
• Participate in spend analytics and work planning efforts
• Create Strategic Sourcing partnerships in order to increase addressable spend
• Become a category expert in understanding the category role and develop category playbooks and roadmaps to enhance strategic negotiations and develop negotiation event timeline.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/MENTAL SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Initiate quality vendor relationships to support new and ongoing product and services sourcing needs.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories to improve and streamline processes.
• Negotiate for products and services within the assigned product category ensuring to achieve best price and quality while working with stores and functional areas to best determine products and services to be sourced.
• Vet vendor qualifications to participate in sourcing events to ensure vendors are able to meet purchase demands in terms of product quality, quantity, and delivery date.
• Identify and qualify vendors to provide product and services to Home Depot. Conduct research to assess vendor capabilities and product information as they relate to company needs.
• Work with purchasing operations to ensure orderly transition from initial deal to ongoing purchasing of products and services. Ensure accuracy and delivery of orders so that clients for the product group are able to complete projects and meet the ByoPlanet’s needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or related area preferred; or equivalent experience. Certification(s) in Procurement desirable.
• 2 years experience with contract negotiations and contract management.

• Ability to negotiate in adversarial situations to arrive at the best deal in terms of cost and quality to meet sourcing needs.
• Communication skills - Able to manage competing timelines and keeping all parties informed with timely updates and action items
• Independent contributor - Strong interpersonal skills, able to build rapport and relationships quickly • Multitasking skills - Ability to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Analytical Skills - Ability to rapidly learn new systems and procedures, create financial cost models; strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Product Knowledge - Able to self-learn and develop a thorough understanding of assigned product category.
