Title:Remote Underwriter
Location: Carmel, In or Remote
Schedule: Retail hours required, meaning you will work Saturdays. You will have every Sunday off, and 1 set day during the week, and opening and closing shifts for Eastern and Central time zones.
As an Underwriter at Byrider, you are responsible for the full-spectrum lending activity within the Car Now Acceptance Credit Department to include inputting accurate information and details regarding credit and income into the scorecard within established guidelines, in compliance with all state and federal regulations, and in adherence to all Car Now Acceptance Company's auto lending practices, policies, and procedures as well as:
What You Will Do:
- Analyze information received from credit applications and credit reporting agencies for accuracy. Coordinate with the sales team to establish, maintain, and enhance the credit product offered to the customer.
- Analyze customers income and calculate within established guidelines for proper payment to income ratio.
- Confirm application information with employers and landlords.
- Ensure documentation is signed properly.
- Conducts real-time customer interviews and investigations on non-prime credit applications to gather and document information pertaining to credit decisions.
- Provides excellent customer service at all points of customer contact, internally and externally.
- Communicates with the Operations Department to examine and evaluate proper documentation for funding.
- Works with production and servicing team members to meet production, service and profitability goals.
- Customer service experience is highly desired.
