Byrncliff Golf Resort & Banquets is looking for people with a bookkeeping and administrative backgrounds, a keen attention detail and a drive to exceed guest expectations! The ideal candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
Bookkeeping & Administrative:
Is an administrative position and is primarily responsible for keeping daily accounting processed along with general team oversight in hospitality areas, and providing excellent customer service in a courteous way to all guests in person or otherwise at all times.
Duties may include: Journal entries (QuickBooks-Desktop), Updating Financial Statements, reconciling daily "Turn In' reports from desk team. Preparing daily deposits, Recievables and Deposit tracking, payables, payroll records, and reports.
In addition to the typical bookkeeping/admin duties, the realm of responsibilities for the job will extend beyond that to include administrative support to the owners. This allows the person to expand their skill sets and work in a fast paced environment with new challenges daily. A thorough knowledge of what Byrncliff has to offer and an outgoing, positive, and friendly personality is required.
This position is part-time or full-time.
Duties will include:
- Accounting for daily receipts and AR/AP oversight
- Computer processing/data entry
- General concierge duties
- Assisting guests via phone, email or in person
- Administrative and customer service support in other departments
- Understanding the Property Management System, rates and packages
- Assist Sales when needed to meet with new and existing clients to plan their social functions, corporate events, golf outings, and weddings.
- Develop positive working relationship with existing customers for repeat business.
- Create and finalize sales contracts, banquet event orders and pricing agreements with clients when needed
- Do final checks at the day of the event to ensure everything meets standards
- Evaluate event’s success and submit reports
Qualifications/Skills:
- Positive and upbeat personality
- Desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
- Proficient computer/accounting skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills and multi-tasking
- Attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Problem solving in order to effectively deal with internal and external customer
- Office and/or hospitality/events experience required
