C & B Equipment is currently searching for a highly motivated Regional Human Resources Manager. This individual will have primary HR responsibility for material handling locations in Virginia and contribute to the accomplishment of Human Resources objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, recruitment, and worker’s compensation. This individual will have the opportunity to be assigned project ownership in a range of human resource initiatives for C & B Equipment as a whole. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with benefits administration and being an information resource for employees.
  • Provide primary support for recruiting and hiring efforts such as pre-screening, interviews, assessments, and developing relationships with local colleges and universities.
  • Work with the regional team and with store leadership to ensure high employee engagement, effective performance management and succession planning
  • Ensure human resource compliance with federal and state laws to mitigate human resource related risks throughout the region.
  • Provide employees, managers, and the HR team accurate, consistent and timely responses and explanations covering a variety of topics, from general HR policy to HR systems support
  • Organize and facilitate employee recognition programs
  • Providing coaching and consulting to managers and employees within a geographic region.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A successful candidate will love working with people and boast a strong knowledge of Human Resources practices, have experience with employee relations, recruitment and will possess excellent communication and organization skills. In addition, this person will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Minimum of Associates Degree or equivalent HR related experience required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Two to four years of work experience in an HR position minimum
  • Good driving record required with the ability to travel to different store locations within a region. Occasional travel to other company events/meetings as well.
