This is a temporary to permanent hire employment position with a pay rate $ 36.90 an hour.
 
No travel required for this position.
 
Period of Performance: 

Monday through Friday, office hours typically 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (specific hours to be determined)
Initially through November 30, 2020, possible extension until May 31, 2021

Special Requirements:
 
-  Must be a U.S. citizen
 
-  Must obtain a Public Trust government security clearance
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
-  Active Public Trust Security Clearance, preferred.
-  Experience working in Relativity eDiscovery databases.
 
Qualifications:

 -  Law degree, or currently attending an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school,  at least one year of study completed

-  Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources

-  Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw

-  Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging  -  Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.

-  Hands-on familiarity with Electronically Stored Information tools and knowledge of e-Discovery procedures and resources, Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).

Law Clerk I  Responsibilities/Duties:
 
 Law Clerk I performs tasks under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor
 
--  Performs complex legal research for the trial staff
 
--  Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation

--  Provides support and assistance for Federal Government case
Attorneys’ which includes significant document review effort may refer to established precedents and policies.
 
--  Utilizes Relativity eDiscovery applications to review documents for responsiveness, make privilege assertions, issue codes, and perform other categorization as requested by the client.
 
--  Assist in the production of documents including performing redactions, creating privilege logs, and assembling final production sets at the request of the client.
