Transit Civil Inspector (Entry Level)

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Transit Civil Inspector! In this entry-level role, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects across Maryland.

What you'll do:

• Monitor active construction sites and provide daily progress reports to the Resident Engineer.
• Supervise construction crews, verifying their work meets project specifications and safety standards.
• Read and interpret construction documents, including contracts and plans.
• Calculate pay quantities for completed work.
• Assist with constructability reviews, identifying potential issues before construction begins.
• Verify that required on-site testing is conducted following industry standards.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Possesses strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrates strong math abilities and clear communication.
• Maintains exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Is eager to learn and be mentored by experienced professionals.
• Has a basic understanding of construction management and construction practices.
• Is eligible to work in the United States.

Bonus points if you have:

• Certifications in construction testing (ACI, Soil & Aggregates, Hot Mix Asphalt, etc.)
• Experience in the construction industry.
