C. M. Mitchell Construction, LOCATED IN SNEADS FERRY, NC, provides earthwork, demolition, underground utilities, asphalt paving for roads, and parking areas for commercial, residential, municipality, government and NCDOT, as well as aggregate trucking.

We are actively recruiting for an asphalt paver operator.
- All asphalt jobs are labor-intensive and require being a self-motivated person.
- Operate asphalt rubber tired and track paving machine that spreads and levels asphalt on sub-grade of highway and other related surfaces, such as parking lots, etc.
- May be required to assist other crew members on other equipment/tasks as the job needs.
Asphalt Paver Operator Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Take care of your tools, equipment, and safety checks in the proper manner
- Knowledge and adherence to applicable DOT and OSHA regulations
- Must be able to climb on equipment, push, pull, jump, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- The job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching and squatting.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be flexible on days of work and length of shift as the job requires
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and random screenings as outlined in DOT regulations.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team
- Show up for work each day on time
- Be able to take direction from a supervisor
- Have a valid driver's license
- Be able to obtain credentials for Camp Lejeune and NC Ports
- Pay attention to detail and your surroundings in order to work safely
