Account Executive, National Sales

Position Overview

As the Food Services Account Executive , you will serve as the primary contact for Foodservice customers to develop, secure, maintain and service new and current customers. You will be responsible for establishing customer relationship in order to maximize our presence for the customer’s current and future needs.

You will contribute by:

• Working alongside Account Executives to learn customers, products, customer service requirements, Company policies and practices, reporting requirements, etc. Seeking opportunities to learn all aspects of the business.

• Serving as primary contact for foodservice customers to develop, secure, maintain and service new and current customer’s current and future needs.

• Conducting product demonstrations for customers and provides menu ideas. Learning broad classes of products.

• Planning events and blitzes to grow the company’s category classes. Providing menu analysis on demonstrated items.

• Working with Account Executives on sales calls. Providing weekly recap of success and failures.

• Developing and implement agreed upon marketing plan which will meet both personal and business goals expanding the customer base (new customers) and increasing sales to current customers.

• Working closely with sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with Company vision and values.

• Taking & placing special orders for customers. Preparing and submitting required forms for approval and purchase.

• Scheduling delivery of special order products with customer upon receipt.

• Monitoring products and product inventory of new products, usage and movement.

• Purchasing and/or delivering products to customers as needed.

• Completing weekly, daily, monthly reports as required. Maintaining and updating order guides, bids and margins.

• Utilizing available resources to enhance sales.

• Performing other related duties as assigned.

• Training briefly with other departments: Transportation, Operations, Purchasing and Accounting

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.

• Strong analytical skills required.

• Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and team playing skills.

• Customer service experience

• Able to be influential, negotiate, and establish positive working relationships across the organization and with all levels of management.

• Other: Willing to work outside normal business hours and very occasional weekend when necessary.

Years Of Experience

• 2-5: Grocery wholesale or grocery retail experience a plus

• Retail sales or account management experience a plus.
