Overview
The Staff accountant, Fixed Assets is responsible for ensuring that fixed asset/construction accounting transactions including: additions, retirements, transfers, impairments and depreciation are recorded timely, accurately and in accordance with GAAP.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and management of our fixed assets subledgers for the organization.
- Maintain and balance general ledger to Fixed Asset subsidiary ledgers, verify and reconciling transactions.
- Resolve any discrepancy during the reconciliation process.
- Work closely with department and Accounts Payable subject matter experts to understand business transactions and ensure they are processed and accounted for in appropriate categories accurately.
- Prepare, review and analyze monthly fixed asset reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting or closely related equivalent required.
- CPA, CPA eligible, MBA, or MPA preferred.
- At least one year of relevant accounting work experience preferred.
- Analytical ability and technical aptitude.
- Experience accounting for fixed assets in a capital-intensive organization is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite or other enterprise-level ERP preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced/changing environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen. Must be able to lift 15lbs, have finger/wrist/arm mobility, and finger dexterity. Must be able to work a flexible schedule shared by other department members. Ability to work after hours or on weekends as needed.
