The Data Center Operations Tech provides technical support to internal and external customers in a 24/7/365 environment. The group is responsible for continuous maintenance and monitoring of the Company’s Systems Operation Center and infrastructure. In addition, the Data Center Operations Tech updates trouble tickets and performs escalations while analyzing and resolving issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and resolve basic issues related to data center operations equipment including HVAC, electrical power, building management and security systems.
- Proactively monitor and resolve basic computer and networking equipment issues in a timely manner, including servers, routers, switches, and equipment cabling.
- Setup, install, configure and monitor computer and networking equipment including racking, powering, cabling and labeling of all related components.

- REQUIRED
- Demonstrate ability to learn to troubleshoot and resolve incoming calls and email requests concerning data center systems utilizing remote management tools with close supervision required.
The ability to follow established practices, procedures, policies and processes required.
Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic, technical environment required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills required.

- Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent years of relevant professional experience strongly preferred.
- REQUIRED

- REQUIRED
Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and resolve incoming calls and email requests concerning data center systems utilizing remote management tools with minimal supervision.
2 years of experience in a 24/7/365 Data Center environment required.
Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
The ability to follow established practices, procedures, policies and processes required.
Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic, technical environment.

Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and resolve incoming calls and email requests concerning data center systems utilizing remote management tools without direct supervision.
4 years of experience in a 24/7/365 Data Center environment required.
Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
The ability to follow and assist in establishing practices, procedures, policies and processes required.
Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic, technical environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and or mouse while viewing computer screen. Must be able to lift objects weighing as much as 50 lbs. for racking, packing, and unpacking in a safe and efficient manner. Must be willing to work rotating shifts of evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate a 24/7/365.
