Overview
The NOCC is responsible for continuous maintenance and surveillance of the C Spire fiber, wireless, IP, and broadband telecommunications networks. This team is responsible for enhancing customer service by resolving issues reported by Customer Care, Roaming, network technician, engineers, the FTTH call center, and other areas within the company. During this internship you will gain exposure to industry leading equipment from Alcatel Lucent, Fujitsu, Calix, Cisco and other telecommunication hardware manufactures.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing support to designated department.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Perform and complete assignments given by Manager in assigned department.
- Prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Communicate in written and oral formats both inter-departmentally and intra-departmentally.
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
Qualifications
- REQUIRED
- Must be actively enrolled and in good standing at an accredited college or university.
- Must have successfully completed at least 12 credit hours in computer technology or math related course work.
- A strong interest in networking, infrastructure, or a related field.
- Must have housing in metro Jackson MS area.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:Interns must be able to adapt and perform in a rapidly changing work environment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen.
