Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 11:30pmPerform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services @ Dover School District, SAU 11. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.
The LEAD CUSTODIAN is a “working” custodian, and as such shall also perform all custodial duties as assigned in addition to the responsibilities below.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine work to be performed and plan work schedules around building usage, absenteeism, and function requirements.
- Instruct personnel in proper work procedures, techniques, safety precautions, and use of chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor work of personnel and report areas of concern to Custodial Supervisor.
- Maintain building inventory of supplies and materials with weekly supply requests.
- Maintain a calendar of events scheduled within the building.
- Notify Custodial Supervisor of any unusual or recurring trouble.
- Maintain a respectful attitude in the company of fellow employees, teachers, or students.
- Assume responsibility for the assigned building to ensure that all spaces are secured and prepared for occupancy by students and staff.
- Perform exterior security check and alarm building at end of shift.
- Check operational condition of tools and equipment and request repairs or replacement as required
- May require lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years’ custodial experience with thorough knowledge of custodial cleaning and service, methods, and procedures
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in English
- Must have ability to work well with other crew members
- Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the job duties
- Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check, including criminal history and drug testing
