Job Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Outpatient Cardiology the Special Technician will accurately and efficiently perform, record, and report cardiac stress tests and echocardiographic studies to aid the physican in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease. This reflects the general duties considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job as identified, and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent to the position.

Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

Junior College/Technical School, with classes in biological science, human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and routine EKG testing

CPR certification

Registered in adult echocardiography, registered in pediatric echocardiology preferred

Up to 1 year of experience required, 2 years preferred

Must be physically able to perform job related activites walking, sitting, considerable standing, lifting, transferring patients, and pushing equipment
